How to Navigate #DIRC21 Content

Wondering where to go? We designed #DIRC21 for maximum flexibility, so that you can enjoy great content, no matter when you drop in.

Start by exploring the Agenda to see what’s happening right now (any current live session will show a Join Live Stream button), or explore the list of Presenters to find the ones you are most interested in. Agenda and Presenter items are hyperlinked to each other to facilitate exploration and discovery.

But even if there are no live sessions when you visit us, there is a ton of other content for you to explore:

Visit the Pre-Recorded section any time to enjoy our awesome TED-style talks and the pitch videos from the finalists in our Charitable Organization competition. (And be sure to cast your vote in the Charitable Org Vote section after you have watched them!)
Enjoy immersive videos and other interactive activities in the Experiences section.
Jump into the interactive Networking section, where you can literally wander around a virtual space meeting other people in hallways or in rooms dedicated to specific topics, or visit the Attendees section to find and connect with other attendees.
Stop by the Workshop Sign-up page to see if there is room in some of the workshops that have capacity limits (many of the workshops do not have limits, so they can be joined just like a regular session).

Agenda

Use the Agenda to browse the schedule of live activities. Don’t miss your favorite sessions: plan your #DIRC21 experience by adding items to your personal agenda (read this guide on creating your own agenda). Each live session includes a Video Stream link that will become active about 15 minutes before the session starts. To join any live session, simply click on the Join Live Stream button that appears below the name of the session in the agenda view, or within the description of each agenda item.

Pre-recorded Content

Use this navigation item to watch our collection of pre-recorded TED-style presentations. These talks showcase individuals whose work exemplifies the value of applying research principles to address issues related to D&I. We carefully select top-notch speakers who will knock your socks off with their compelling talks on a wide range of relevant topics. The speakers will also take part in Live Q&A sessions to engage with the audience - for the best experience, be sure to watch the pre-recorded video before attending the Live Q&A session with a particular speaker.

Experiences

From immersive videos and interactive computer simulations, to virtual yoga and games, you’ll be able to drop in and out at your convenience to add more value to your #DIRC21 experience.

Networking

Connect with your fellow attendees in an innovative virtual platform called Wonder. Engage in one-on-one chats and small-group conversations about topics related to #DIRC21 content and beyond. Make sure to watch this short introductory video so you are comfortable navigating the networking platform. You are welcome to join Networking sessions during the scheduled times or at any point throughout the conference.

DIRCathalon

Ready to play? Search the platform, DIRC website and other event-related locations to collect passcodes, earn points and see if you can make your way to the podium! Winners of the DIRCathalon will enjoy FREE tickets to #DIRC22. Ready, set, go!
