As Dr. Darrell Burrell, I am graduate of the US Federal Government, Presidential Management Fellows Program www.pmf.gov. I am technical and organizational social scientist and leadership development specialist. I want to use my education and experience to make a difference in organizations and the lives of others. My background, professional path, and career trajectory and interests are is not linear or cookie cut. My story is a little unique. After being a 3-time college dropout, I overcame fears and doubts by going back to college to complete my undergraduate degree. Although I had many barriers that impacted my ability to complete my education, I preserved and graduated with an undergraduate degree; 5 graduate degrees; and 2 doctorate degrees (2010, 2021). I am not a professional student. I am someone who understands that we live in a knowledge economy and knowledge is critical to complex problem solving. I believe that the most complex organizational and societal problems cannot be solved in the confines of one academic discipline. I realize that even with my education that I do not have a monopoly on knowledge. Thus the collaboration, knowledge sharing, and pooling the collective intelligence of others is very important to me.
