Maya Bialik

Curriculum Director, VRPerspectives

Maya is the Curriculum Director at VRperspectives, where she leads the effort to create research-based social-emotional learning experiences in VR. Her background includes being the Director of R&D at Center for Curriculum Redesign, where she oversaw research and the creation of standards, curriculum, courseware and assessments to fit the changing educational needs of the 21st century. She earned her Master's in Education from Harvard University in 2012. 

She draws on this academic knowledge, complementing it with her personal experiences as an improviser; Maya has been performing in, producing, and directing shows around the Boston area since 2014. Through this practice, she has discovered the power of social games to increase inter- and intra-personal skills. And through her personal experience as an immigrant, she has learned the importance of those skills.
