Wilson Ng
Adjunct Professor, Regents’ University & Emlyon Business School
Wilson Ng is an Adjunct Professor of Corporate Finance at Emlyon Business School France and an Adjunct Professor in Entrepreneurship at Regent’s University London. Wilson researches resource management and strategic processes in ventures whose founders are motivated by extreme cognitive and/or physical challenges. Wilson explores the ways in which creative actors in challenge-based enterprises develop and leverage capabilities to achieve goals that they establish because of their challenges. Wilson’s current research advances this interest by exploring opportunity creation among sight-impaired entrepreneurs in the USA and EU.
Wilson has been a full-time researcher since 1999. Previous to this, Wilson was a corporate financier, first with Rothschild & Co. and then with the Guthrie Group in Singapore. At Rothschild Wilson specialized in corporate advisory services for technology ventures that were quoted “penny stocks”. Wilson continues to relate with technology ventures as a founding shareholder and Advisory Board member of Crowd for Angels, a FinTech start-up in the UK. Wilson is also engaged in innovation capture as a Director of LAU Superconductors, an R&D venture in product and process engineering, which he co-founded in Cambridge, UK.
Wilson has an MA and PhD in Management Studies from Cambridge University, and an MBA in Finance from London University.
